Although Ridgewood Thirteen no longer produces films, it exists in the form of the three independent works featured on this site.

Many people ask me where Ridgewood Thirteen comes from. That is usually when I realize that I'm not in college anymore and have to answer the question. I was a sophomore at Brandeis University. I lived in a campus suite that people tended to spend too much time at. My Hi-8 camera became part of the wallpaper. Zombie movies ensued.

Short films started getting passed around campus. At the end of each piece there would be an elaborate title sequence, which would culminate with the hand-written stamp ANOTHER RIDGEWOOD THIRTEEN PRODUCTION.

The reason for this was that I lived in the Ridgewood Quad. Suite Thirteen. Lots of time passed and the name stuck. So for everyone who has ever asked me if I'm from New Jersey, the answer is no.
